I stopped in to WildKat Attachments in Denton, NC to take a look at all the grapples they had on the lot...and there were MANY grapples. They also sell other attachments. I don't have a 3rd function yet to operate a grapple, but I did want a few other things. I settled on a Stump Bucket and a set of 48" pallet forks. Looks to be of good quality and made on-site. I'm going to try out the stump bucket this weekend on some old stumps that need to go.

I just bought a rock bucket grapple and a stump bucket from them. Both are solid and well made. I really think for the price they are one of the best out there!
The stump bucket worked pretty good for planting a tree (7 footer with a shell barrel size root ball) the other day. I used it for 2 minutes to dig the majority of the hole and it worked very well. Saved me a lot of digging that is for sure.
Also took out one tree and it worked pretty good. It was VERY deeply rooted so I had to put some HP to it and nothing even seemed like it was thinking of bending.
Looking forward to running a few small ditches with it when the weather gets a bit better.

Your new toys look good. I picked up my Wild Kat grapple from the freight company today. I haven't even unloaded it yet. For an economy grapple it sure looks heavy made. Their prices are almost unbelievable.

Their shop is about 20 miles from where I work. The grapples were stacked like wood out there. They certainly had plenty to choose from. Great prices too.

I have some old stumps I'm tired of driving around. It will probably take a while, but I'm in no rush. Good idea on using to dig to plant. I know I'll have a hundred uses for the forks too.

I assume this company is different than "Gator" (the old Markham Welding)? I bought my grapple from Markham when Melissa was still there... great to deal with and great service. I have since noticed a problem with the lower attachment pins being sloppy and I called Gator back in early Dec. After several attempts to talk with someone, I finally got an answer and they told me they would send me two new latch plates that I could weld on top of my existing ones to solve the problem. Called them about 2 weeks ago since I never recieved them. After 2 attempts, finally talked to someone who said they would check and get back to me... never heard anything, and called again and left voicemail asking about status... still haven't heard back. I'm done with Gator... glad to hear there is another company in Denton that is providing a good product... hope it might be Melissa and crew set up under a new business??

I tried to check with Gator when I bought my Wildcat buckets but the first time they never answered my email. I ended up emailing again and they answered about 1/2 of what I asked so I figured they didn't really care about selling anything so I went to WildKat and am pleased with their products and pricing!

I've also wondered if this company has any personell from Gator or Markham. I own products built by both these companies....and hope the Markham folks are back in biz.

That's 2 attachments I'm looking for as well!
If you don't mind me asking, what was the cost of the implements?
And, are the forks 2000 or 4000 lb capacity?

thanks!

I just emailed Gator two days ago asking about a bolt on tooth bar. Got a quick email the next day saying they didn't have any teeth and to call a company called CID. Maybe they aren't producing the tooth bar anymore.
