new toy....hustler 52!!!!

good evening,
this afternoon about 3 p.m., my new toy arrived, in bright yellow. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif. WHAT A MACHINE!!!!!!!!after the first 30 min. or so "mr. jim"(after my dad) took off and did we have fun... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif.After carefully learning the ins and outs(still learning) i put about an additional 1.5 hrs on "mr. jim, cutting approx. 3 acres. First, very quiet /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif, more than i expected. could not hear the IZT's working at all. Second, the ride was very comfortable, considering i'm still leveling around the place(got a few dips and holes) /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gifThird, the speed is amazing to say the least, very quick. The 20hp honda is very good. Fourth, the cut was terrific, i had it set on 2", very smooth and the discharge was more than i expected and very fine in size. Now, i have to remember " its a 52" cut, dummy, and lift the deck when going into the storage shed... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif.......
The head lights are mounted at seat level and put out a lot of light(worth the money and you live in the south and cut in the late afternoon.. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif)
will keep everyone posted and the summer moves in....
Hour meter has 2 plus hrs. so far... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Whoever said this was the way to go, was correct!!!!

I picked up a 52" Hustler Fasttrac on Saturday. Love it. I use to have a Snapper 42" lawncruiser ZTR.
The Hustler will run circles around the Snapper and it also has a 52" cut. I will need to get use to the larger cut.
It also took the bumps way better than the Snapper.
Maybe I will need to mow again tomorrow. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

i just haven't taught my dog(Tokes) how to use the camera yet /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. so you can see how difficult it would be to have a photo.
since i am my own CFO /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif, it could be a problem. i did open the storage shed and look at "mr. jim" this morning............well gotta go, the man with the stump grinder is here working (vermeer 752 or something like that) takes about a minute or so per stump) $10 ea. total 44 stumps today /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Congrats on the new Hustler. ZTR mowing will spoil you for sure. I do think pics are required here. I'd sure like to see the unit ...you don't have to be on it at the time. Or you might catch one of your neighbors watching and ask them to snap one of you in action. ZTR's do draw an audience.

Congratulations Bluebonnet2. I know how much I like my smaller Fastrak 42", and the one you bought is even better. The mini Zs, commercial grades are even better than that.
I like the controls on the yours and the others better than on mine, but they're still better than some of the other brands I tried out. The only thing I really don't care for, is that it's very easy for me to bog in wet ground, and I got stuck pretty quickly after first using mine. These things are heavy to try to move around my hand too!
You have the larger tires, so it probably won't be as much of a problem for you.

Good to hear you enjoy the ZRT. Amazing machines. Hard to imagine going back to a lawn tractor for mowing.

today i put approx. 2+ hours on "mr. jim" and i'm still impressed..... /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif. set the deck at 2" and off we went, two hours later, 2.5 acres all trimed and neat... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
i also drove the 52 into the shed (with the deck up /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif) and turned around inside the shed.....WOW!!!!!! looked like i used about 1 3/4 gals since i didn't run at full throttle.... /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
still got a few bumps and holes, however, i did try what i thought were fairly steep slopes and all was ok( must be the low center of gravity.... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
no flames here.......
