New To Tractors...

I just got into a 4 Acre lot that's wooded. I have a lot of clean up on the lot. Tree stumps to pull and bury, old wood to push around and move. I have a few old sheds to tear down and clean up. a 550ft driveway to plow 2 times a year (stone).

Obviously I am looking to stay on the lower end cost wise. Was hoping for something I can get for less than 8k. I know I cant do that brand new and that's ok.

Yeah,you can buy new for that,chinese jinma.

Used is always a chance,no matter what brand.

Stumps,tractors don't work real good on stumps,dozers and backhoes do pretty well,stump grinders get them down.

Maybe rent something like that,clean it up to your specs.

It might be best to hire out the heavy work and then once the land in whipped in to shape a small tractor could maintain it. You would need a backhoe, whether it's a dedicated machine or one on a tractor, to do chores like digging up and burying stumps. They are pretty hard to find in usable condition for under 8k.

There's more and more 2wd tractors w/loaders on the market,vist some auctions etc. you just may find heck of good deal in your price range.

I saw a Farmtrac 270 DTC brand new with 3 yr warranty for $8700 at a dealer in Orient, OH. That's a super deal on a nice little tractor. I paid 10.3 k for mine 4 yrs ago. I currently have 415 hrs with 0 mechanical issues. I can't think of the dealer name offhand but if your interested pm me and I'll look it up for you.

Welcome to tbn. I agree hire out the heavy stuff. Buy a smaller tractor for
maintenance.A tractor big enough to handle those jobs are expensive.
