New to the Forum

Well, here I am. Having moved away from the panhandle of Texas 42 years ago swearing never to purposely operate a tractor again I find myself to be the proud owner of a brand new Kubota L2501. You know, for mowing the lawn... and stuff

Been stalking the threads here and there when time allows and figured I would join in.

To the TBN forum CreekyB. Congrats on the new toy.....Tractor. Where at in the panhandle were you? I met my wife while stationed in Amarillo. The joke there was that you could be AWOL for three days before they list you that way as they could still see you.

I was born and raised in Lubbock, a good place to be from

When I was younger I thought farming was boring, ranching was boring and when I went to work in the oil industry there were too many 30 something year olds that looked 50 and were missing parts of fingers. I decided to move where there was more work in construction or industry. I still have family scattered around the panhandle and still go visit.

The only time I was in Lubbock, it looked like a decent enough place. When I was 12, I swore that I would NEVER be a farmer and now my wife teases me about the farm I bought to retire on.
