LS XU5055
It seems after reading several posts that no one is having any problems with their LS tractor. Recently I started having a problem with my XU5055. I do not have the power I had earlier this year. It seems to be getting worse, where I used to be able to mow in third gear I am now in second and have to shift to 1st gear to get up some of the hills. My closest dealer is about an hour away and just became a dealer last fall but told me to bring it in and they would look at it and thought it could possibly be the clutch slipping. Another mechanic said it could be the Catalytic converter being clogged. It wont even move in 4th gear. Anyone else had a similar problem?

You said it doesn't move in fourth. By that, do you mean under load or just trying to start on flat ground while performing no work? Do the rpms drop at all when you let the clutch out? Any smoke out the exhaust?

Here's the troubleshooting guide from your manual for engine and clutch troubles:

Forgot to ask how many hours

About 780 hours, 2015 model. Won't move in fourth on level ground no load high rpms. Slow to move in third low gear high torque. Not sure if RPMs drop , wasn't watching for that.

So you're able to release the clutch pedal on flat ground with the engine running at X rpms in fourth, and absolutely nothing happens? Rpms stay put, clutch pedal is released, and you're just sitting there? If the answer is yes, it does sound like the clutch is shot.

Yep, that is what is happening although it does move in first and second gear with high rpms. Thanks

Well hopefully it can be adjusted. If not, I believe you should still be within your warranty unless there is an hour stopping point. I do not know if a clutch would fall under warranty though since it is a consumable.
