Kubota L2501
I was perusing the FB Marketplace the other night and this thing caught my eye. As I read on it said it came off a Kubota L2850 (score!) I asked if he had all the mounting brackets and he said yes. It was 2 1/2 hrs away and when I got there today I found it's missing two smaller brackets but does have the main rear bracket. I can build what I need if I can't find the parts, they are listed on Woods website for a total of about $200 for the pair of them. I don't know why but I always thought I would never have a backhoe on a compact tractor but lately have been wanting one :) I'm sure it will get used. Turns out he had to scrap the tractor as the PTO shaft exploded and took out the transmission or the transmission was bad after the PTO broke. He had the two side covers and gave them to me as I was leaving :) His L2850 was the same vintage as mine.
I'm going to check at the local Kubota dealer, they are nearby and have been in business a long time and they may have something I can use.
Luckily he had a neighbor close by with another Kubota that came over and loaded it for me :)

I had to do a little repair after work this afternoon. The sub frame at the very end (front) was cracked in half, I straitened it up and welded it then added a plate to cover it. I figure as long as I have to build the two mounts that I need another 1/4" of plate won't hurt anything :)
I didn't take a before pic but if you zoom in on the second pic above you can kind of see the split.

I don't think the two brackets I need are going to be that difficult to make, stay tuned :)

Well I got the brackets all fabbed up and mounted today and got the backhoe mounted on the tractor :)
The guy I bought it from told me there was a leaking hose so I fired it up and determined it was the hose for the main boom down hose. Pulled it out with a string attached and got a new hose made, put it on and low and behold another hose is leaking too, this one is for the bucket curl. I ran out of time yesterday to get that hose off. I'm not sure when I'll be able to get back at it but hopefully soon.

Quick update, I ended up replacing two more hoses for a total of three of the six. I know my luck and I will be replacing the other three the first time I use it :(
