Mahindra 1533
I just purchased a 2015 Mahindra 1533. Just been playing with it a little while I await purchasing some attachments. I have a question in regards to the arms attached to the 3 pt. hitch. One of the arms is bent and don't know what the previously owner did to bend it, or if I should be concerned about it. The other arm, it looks like they modded it with different pieces. Please let me know what you guys think and if I should just replace them with new ones or not be worried. I plan on getting a quick hitch to ease connecting to attachments. I appreciate everyone's help. This is my 1st tractor, so I am definitely tractor illiterate.

From the two pictures it looks like the lowers are not bent but one of the stabilizer bars are. Easy fix. And from the pictures with your other equipment in the background should be no trouble for you. I would raise the ROPS to halfway down. The 3 point will hit it where it is now. I've had my 1533 about 3 years and about 200 hrs. Really like it. If you just bought it I would do a 200 hrs tune-up. Oil, hydraulic fluids, Fuel filter and such. The seller probably didn't want to put any money into it before he sold it. Good luck with it. It's a great tractor.

Thanks for the info, I will definitely try to straighten out the left one. I was originally looking at getting a 3016, but the price of this one, I went this route and don't think I'll be disappointed at all.

It looks to me that the previous owner was trying to run a Cat 2 implement on the 3pt. A lot of the Cat 2's are wider, they spread the lower arms out farther than the Cat 1 spacing. You can see that he has run the right one and it has wore on the inside of that side rear tire. Not knowing what the heck he was doing, or if he knew what the heck he was doing, I can't say much more than that. You can also see that he torched the ends of the sway bars some, probably in a vain attempt to keep it from hitting the tire. A lot of Cat 2 3pt stuff can fit on the back of your tractor, but usually they mount the attachments lower pins facing inward so it does not spread the lower link bars too wide. He might have been using something like a 3pt backhoe, or some other thing that was adding extra side stress to the sway bar, thus bending the left one. I think you are good to go. I would try to straighten the left one, and maybe run a grinder over where he hacked on the ends. That's a nice tractor, made by Mitshubishi .... :) [ I've got one of it's littler brothers ] [ and another reason why I could never be a dealer... I would take a baseball bat to someone that mistreated a tractor like that... ]

I did just buy it. Any idea on the cost of getting the 200 hr. service?

Just had mine done last week. Waiting on the dealer to call back with the price. They came to my house and did all the work. Very nice I didn't have to trailer it all that way. I'll post tomorrow and let you know.

Dealer called today. Comes out to around $950. But they also came to my house which is 60 miles from the dealership. Changed oil and filters, hydraulic fluid and filters, fuel filters, air cleaner, greased everything, and checked bolts. None were loose. I was very impressed with the way the tech handled himself with me. Very knowledgeable about my tractor and had some helpful hints for the future. All around nice guy. Got to give a shout out to the dealer. American Equipment in Sabina Ohio. Great bunch of guys/gals.

Thanks GrumpyJoe for the follow up. I will definitely be scheduling my service soon.

They are good tractors. And I know what happened. The telescoping anti sway bars are made of cheap, porous pot metal. I have been looking for a fix. The original owner tried to “fix” it. I think I am building a new set. I welded mine and then bush hogging lost the part that connects to the draw arms, it broke past the weld. You will enjoy the tractor. IMG_7330.JPG
