New to me DK45

Just brought home a Dk 45. I’ve ran old gas tractors all my life. What are some things i should do first? Fuel system cleaner? Fuel additives? I’m pretty green on this tractor. You’re experience and opinions are appreciated.

Congratulations. Leaf through the owners manual re the maintenance schedule and be sure to use a diesel oil “C” rating as opposed to an “S” for gas. Never ever run out of fuel or you’ll be bleeding the system, which isn’t fun. Change your fuel filter every other oil change and buy diesel fuel at a busy station for fresh seasonal diesel… I’m sure others will chime in.

My DK50 has been a real work-horse. Other than self-inflicted damage, oil/filters/lubrication and it just keeps on ticking. Shop around on the filters for best price. A few of them may be available through NAPA for far less $$$.

Ditto on all the above suggestions, keep her greased and like said earlier do not run it out of fuel.
