My Dad and I have had several tractors in the past but never a Kubota. The Tractor is used and its L3130. We haven't purchased it yet but we are considering it. It is a friends tractor and he has told us we can use it until we decide or he can find someone else to purchase it. BUT as of right now we are just trying to figure out where the oil goes. There is the red cap in the back by the rear axle and hitch and we just want to be positive before we go pouring oil into it. Is this the correct spot or are we completely wrong?

Welcome to TBN...You're trying to figure out where the oil goes, as in what are you looking to add to? Engine? Sorry, just trying to figure out what your Q is. Good luck.

Yes hydraulic fluid for the tranny/hydraulics is added where you are looking.

Sounds like the cap for the Tranny not the engine oil.

That is the hydraulic fluid fill hole for the transmission. There is a sight-glass immediately below the red cap to check fill level. The motor oil fill is on the side of the engine under the hood.

You might want to ask your friend for the owners manual ...that'll explain a lot.
