Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. I recently got a Kioti DK35 with a loader. The engine is shot and needs to be rebuilt. I think I got it for a reasonable price ($1200). What do you guys think?

Thanks. Looks like a piston put a hole in the block. I will be posting pics on the progress on this. I only wanted the loader for my Kubota but its to big for it. I think I can get it fixed for a few a couple thousand and have a good tractor. What do you guys think? Is it worth me investing 2-3 grand on it?

Depends on the condition on the rest of the machine if its worth fixing.

I did a quick global search on Craigslist and I don't know what years yours was made. In working order that machine ought to be worth about 12 grand With a little cosmetic Improvements after you get it running. I'd say heck yeah it was a reasonable price. Good find. You can always pick up a short block at a tractor salvage yard.

Was that machine in a flood? Could be water in the cylinders and someone tried to start it, or drove it into a tank/pond.

No idea what they did to it. Im going to get it priced before I start putting $$$$ into it. I did notice that it showed 1900 hrs on it.

Its a shame to see one in that condition, looks like its had a hard life.
My DK 35 has 1820 hours and still looks/works nice.
