Time to replace my tires on my 2006 Kubota RTV 900.I thinking about the 8 ply greenball dirt commander from Costo $109 per tire.My front tire size is 25X10-12 rear tire size is 25X11-12 both are 6 ply rated. My question is would it hurt anything if just buy 25X10-12 for all four tires? Thanks.

I dont see why it would hurt anything as long as all four tires are the same height. You might loose a little traction in the rear but you know where and how you use your machine and that may not have any effect on its performance.

All the tires on the RTV 900 should be 25x10-12 front and rear if standard. The front to rear ratio is 1 to 1 so putting different sized tires is not so good an idea. You could put larger than stock tires on as long as you put the same size on both front and rear.

Gary you peaked my interest so I drug out my 2006 RTV shop manual. On page 6 of the specifcations section it states(Recreational model tire size FRONT 25X10-12,REAR 25X11-12 ATV 6 PLY).Are you saying I could go with a 26 inch tire on all 4 wheels?

The first number is the diameter and as long as all four tires are the same diameter, the width won't be an issue as long as you don't go too wide and cause rubbing when you turn..

I thought the first number was the height?

I stand corrected, I had to go look at my 2009 and sure enough they are the size as per your manual. I had thought that they were the same size but it looks like they are 1" wider on the rear, but same height. I think one TBN member put some 26" tires on his machine with custom wheels but I tried the search and couldn't find it. You couldn't go much bigger than that without doing a lift to the frame to get more clearance.

I might just stay with the stock size tire to make sure they fit my RTV.

That is my thoughts also. The guy in Louisiana did a lot of swamp mudding with his so he had a lot of custom work done to get much larger tires. I have no need to do that at my place and don't think I would get any enjoyment in burying my RTV in a swamp. Having to get in with the alligators and snakes to winch it out isn't my cup of tea. The stock ATV tires are plenty for my needs.

Those are some pretty good looking tires. Be sure to let is know what you think once you run them a while.

Mine has worksite tires and they are great 95% of the time, the other 5% it stays parked due to mud. I worry about ATV type tires lasting due to the amount of time it spends on the road in the summer. I've been thinking about buying some used rims and buying a set of ATV tires for winter use only.
