I stopped and looked at a new 5045E today just to see what was different than my 5055E. First I will say its basically the same tractor just more refined. The operator station area I do like better but under the floor tin is the same tractor as before. I like how they done the floor now because its (more in closed). Now you can set stuff there and don't have to worry about it falling off like the older E series. They now have round fenders as others mentioned and they are metal. There okay but I think I myself like the flat top fenders but smaller than the E series I have. Something like a MF 165 fender I would like better. As others said it now has a cup holder on the fender which is great. The dash now looks a lot nicer. I raised the hood and yes it does have all the Tier 4 junk under there which does make the hood taller. I myself kinda like the taller hood but that is just me. It did appear to have better quality hoses than the older series and other little things seemed to be of better quality. I also noticed on the Deere SN plate that it said (Assembled in the USA) which I thought was a big plus. I would suspect though a lot of it is imported from India.I noticed on the fuel tank in the back that its made in India and the front Dana axle is still made in China. I like the style of the tractor along with the front lights and flashers on the ROPS. As another person mentioned I think they took a step back with the diff pedal. The old pedal was beefy built. The new one is made of descent size material but just looks to plain. Over all I liked the tractor but I am just not a fan of Tier 4 in any brand.
