Satoh S 470d Buck
Just bought a nice little Satoh Buck. So far I have managed to lose one of the stabilzer chains off the bush hog and can't find it. So I am going to have a new one made. The question is, the one I left is kind of odd looking it is a turn-buckle with welded loops on each end with a twisted bracket that bolts to the lift arm. Do I need all of this or will a chain do the same thing. The next question is, I have a locking differential pedal but when I try to push it down there is a bracket bolted on the side of the foot platform that keeps it from going down. It looks as if everything is hooked up just not sure why it won't depress. Any help would be appreciated as I am a tractor "rookie":confused3:

I lost one of the chains on my Ford 1600, and broke the other. No you don't really need fancy brackets, a clevis will work very well, that's what I did. As long as you have a turnbuckle you will be fine. I used to have a Kubota B5100 every time I engaged the differential lock it would not release, now it is possible you have that problem and that bracket is preventing that.

Hey thanks for the info. I think am going to take off the bracket and see what happens. As far as the check chain I am just going to make something up myself. After talking to a few people and hearing your feedback it doesn't need to be like it is. Thanks for the help.
