New Rural King store to open near Marysville, Ohio

After taking a trip today I cut across a connecting road and discovered a new Rural King store under construction near Marysville, Ohio. For all Buckeyes that have longed for one, this is great news. It's in an old K Mart and I was told will open April 15th. It is right across the road from the county fairgrounds and I think that is Rt 4. Not sure on that Rt 4 part.

Rural King is great news for those of use that need an honest priced real farm store again and are tired of hardware and Chinese tool outlets masquerading as farm stores. Just an FYI.

There's one 18 miles from me. They have a very large selection of merchandise and decent prices. Go to Walmart and try to buy baby ducks! :laughing:

have been to one only once, in St. Clairsville, ohio.
Lots of stuff, but very dark inside. need more lights on.

One is rumored to open near me between Radcliff and Elizabethtown Ky. i've not heard an opening date.

I drive past one everyday
Visit about every week
Its just another version of tractor supply, maybe a better selection of clothes carharts n such

I like Big R stores much better, much better selection and quality
We used to have one 20 years ago, but they sold the property back when they weren't doing so well
They have expanded westward since

They opened one in Coshocton, oh. a year or so ago. Greatest thing since sliced bread. They have just about killed Tractor supply. I get off work at 0700 and TSC doesn't open until 0800. Rural King opens at 0700 seven days a week. I can pop in and pick up whatever I need and not have to hang out for an hour to go shopping. Love the store, and the prices almost always beat the TSC prices.

The popcorn at the one in Xenia, OH is horrible!!

I do like the store though. They sell some brand of Sasparilla that I always pick up when I'm there. Plus I like the fact that they also have a gun section. I bought some tannerite targets there that I'm itchin' to see how they work.

That store is about 35 minutes away from me so the local Menards is usually my go-to place when I need something. I've found the TSC stores around here are pretty inconsistent in what they stock.
