New RTV 1100 cab doors removable ?

I am going to buy an RTV with a cab but want to be able to leave the doors off in the summer. Does anyone know if the doors on the new factory cab are removable?

Yes you can remove the door on the rtv1100. I have not taken them off yet but is just like the curtis cab on the rtv900. The hinges are more heavier duty on the 1100.

I use the RTV to perform work on the farm I find it is much easier to get in and out of the machine. I ride the the Rows of Blueberries and I am getting in and out every few feet or sometimes I have a hand sprayer and will spray as I am driving along.

In NE Washington the summers are hot and dry so the air conditoning would be nice but not as nice as a breeze open doors and the abilty to get in and out easily. I like to jump on the 4 wheeler to run to one of our other houses to store or get something if the RTV isnt as easy to use as the 4 wheeler I probably would'nt want one.
In winter when plowing snow the doors and heater would be the way to go at that time. Spring and fall would be perfect.
Its really my wife who wants to get the cab id be happy with a windshield and a heater for the winter when we will run about a mile down the county gravel road to the mailbox and back probably at warp speed, 25 mph. The windshield would keep the bugs off in the summer and the cold or inclement weather in the winter.

Sounds like you need a RTV900 and the wife needs a RTV1100.

Don't forget you have the Two-Position Door Lock System on the RTV1100 which will give you that nice breeze through the cab...

I use my RTV on the plantation also, you said that you use a spray unit.

Just a little something that might help you in your type of work. Or maybe

not. Anyway, last week I rigged up a "ropewick bar" for the RTV. Use it on

the front reciever. Built a hitch that fits into it, and the wickbar adjust up

and down as the level you need it . It works

perfect for knocking out the unwanted items in the rows . Don't know what

your spraying, but if it's any type of herbicide, it does work wonders.

Ropewick bar ? what is it and how does it work?

A ropewick is a PVC pipe, with rope applicators . The roundup or any other chemical wished to be used, is filled up inside the wickbar, as the bar is adjusted 4-9 inches, ( or whatever you are comfortable with) above the crop that you wish to harvest. The "rope" applicator rubbs the unwanted plant, that has grown "above" the crop you wish to keep. The chemical is applied to the unwanted plant which will die off just as if you would have sprayed it. No chemical ever touches your crop that you are growing for profit !
It saves alot of time, MONEY, cuts all your expenses to almost nothing.
I going to try to attach some links of some wickbars, some of them may be looking big as they may be installed on big tractors, you can purchase the bars at any width that you want. But I made mine 8 foot wide for the RTV, and it works PERFECT !!!!!!!!!!!
