New purchase of a used 1428v

Hi guys, I'm new here and I just bought an '03 1428v with a 1244 FEL. The tractor had 682 hours on it when I bought it and I got it for $9850. Does this seem to be a fair price to you guys and can anyone tell me if there are any characteristics about this model that will be helpful to know now as opposed to later? We live on 5 acres with 4 cleared and my list of projects just tripled in size!
I love the machine already!

Good simple tractor that should have many more years of service in it. I can't think of any common stuff to watch for. 1233, 1428V, 1528 are all pretty much the same. Keep it serviced right and you should be happy for a long time.

As long as you maintain the tractor, you will find the value of your tractor will not drop much over the years. You have a good tractor, and you bought it at the right price.

Your welcome. Every series from the 1100 on up (1100, 1200, 1400, 1500, 1600, and the entire GC line) is built by Iseki of Japan. They are a tried and true design, and are extremely hard to find used. Was yours traded in? Just keep the maintenance up, and they will last a long time.

No, not yet, but probably will soon as I have a website in the works for my small scale farm. I've only had the property since July and am still laying the groundwork. And, the tractor will help my goals immensely/once I get the hang of it! I tried to post pics, but can't figure it out? My sister is digitally competent and said she would help me with it next weekend, so I'll try then.

What exactly is maintenance on a tractor? Oil changes and the likes as with cars; common sense & follow the manual.? I drive two old vehicles (88 car & 95 truck- my tractor will be newer-lol) and am pretty good at maintaining them.
I'm happy to hear I got a good deal. I seem to have luck when it comes to investment purchases.
