New poster, new BX2230

Greetings

After three enjoyable years I have traded in my T1770 for the BX2230 with FEL and 60"MMM (front-mount snow thrower to follow) that arrives... tomorrow /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif! Finally, I get to utilize all 5 acres. I have been reading for a while and taking in issues those of you having the fortune /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif, or misfortune /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif, are discovering. I look forward to exchanging my experiences and hearing of yours.

Congrats on the new BX and welcome to TBN! The BX is a very capable machine that you are going to love!

Just wondering... how did you like the T1770? I ask because when I finish my land I will most likely sell my B series and get a nice lawn tractor for mowing. The new Kubota GR series looks awesome. Just wondering how the T treated you?

Congrats on your BX!! I wish I had gotten mine today, but I've got to wait until Monday, a series of unfortunate events delayed my delivery by about a week. I may have to make my own weekend in the middle of the week, 'cuz I don't think I can wait until next weekend to break it in!!

BTW, how about some pix?

The T1770 was a great unit! Although considered a lawn tractor, the Hydrogear hst is a one model above one rated as capable of a small tiller. It is, unfortunantly, one model beneath the unit with the PTO tap. Also, tires smaller than those rated for those limits, so typical Kubota, more beef than advertised. We added the snowthrower the 2nd year and it really kicks A**. When our septic line burst last year, I had to clear a road for the backhoe and the blower would drive under the 3" hard shell of snow above it. Even raising it was leaving a shelf you had to break with your elbow as you drove aside it. Anyway, it took a few hours and was lots of fun as I made a 20' swath a good distance around a tree line to the back of the house. I added the optional hour meter, cruise, hubcaps to mine. I understand they now have the Kohler engine. Mine was Kawasaki - Mobile 1 synthetic after 50 hours - in an unheated garage in -20f temps - after ten tries she would start. Never left us in a lurch and it gets really cold here. Dealer gave us $6200 CA with 44"mmm, and the snowthrower at 250 hours.

Thanks for the great info. Since I've owned my B7300 I've got pretty much hooked on Kubota. When I buy a riding tractor I really want a top notch unit that will last a long time. The Kubotas aren't cheap... but you get what you pay for.

Me & Stephane and others, as Canuck will tell you that the front snownblower may still get you out of trouble this Spring.(old man Winter is still around).
