I just got my B7610HST yesterday, and have been using it today. I was just wondering about the whining when the speed control pedal is depressed (either forward or reverse). Is that normal in a hydrostat? It stops when the clutch is depressed. Just making sure everything is alright. Thanks. Jeff

Sounds right to me. My B7510HST has a whine to it. I got used to it pretty quickly and now don't really notice it any more.

Don't worry and just enjoy. Besides, if it is new it has a warranty.

This is normal. You may find it whines less when the engine is operated at higher RPMs.

The BX tractors whine also, as well as other brands I test drove. It's normal.

But if it whines a lot (loud), make sure your brake is completely releasing.

They all whine. You should have a cab unit/hydro like me. It really whines. It's just the high pressure fluid travelling through the veins and arteries of your tractor. If it quits whining, then you have to worry.

I like the whine....you know something is happening under your feet.
