Tractor
1963 jd 2010
Hello, I'm new to the forum. I recently bought a 1963 john deere 2010. I'm not an experienced tractor operator and am trying to figure this thing out. I have a hyd. Lever to the left of the steering wheel I can't figure out what it goes to. My parts manual calls it a remote hyd. Cylinder control lever. The tractor does not have a loader, it may have at one time I'mnot sure. Any help Iis greatly appreciated.

Welcome to TBN.

You'll get answers here. Plenty of "old" guys that "once had one of those" that will help ya. :)

You should have a set of couplers behind the seat area that you could plug hydraulic hoses into. It could be used to raise a rear mower with a cylinder or operate a log splitter for instance. If you operate the lever while engine is running, you should here the engine load slightly and hear the hydraulic hiss of the relief valve relieving pressure.

Thanks, That also answers my next question about those couplers. I didn't trace the lines but I'm sure that's where they go. Pretty good answering questions before I ask. Lol
