- 2011 Cub Yanmar EX2900. 1939 Farmall A, 1940 Farmall H, 1959 Oliver 770
Well, after months of looking at tractors and info with my fiance, both online and at the dealerships, we struck a good deal on a hydro EX2900. It has 13 hours on it and we got it for 12200. It has a FEL and loaded R-4's on it. I felt that we couldn't pass it up, despite the fact that it didn't have the ag tires we were looking for and we had looked at kubota and kioti much harder. It's funny, because we picked up cub literature one day at one dealership and initially steered away because they quoted high prices.
Anyway, they are delivering it in a bout an hour or so. We can't wait!! I'm hoping the R-4's are ok.. We get hammmered with snow where we live. other than that, it will be used for mowing the bottom half of the yard and light forestry work. I know they will be easier on the turf,at least, at the house. I figure we can run chains in the winter, and even in the summer in the timber. I know the ags would really help in mud, but we will probably steer clear of mud season in the timber. We figure we can always get a set of ags for it and sell the R-4.
We met a few good dealers along the way. I feel bad that we couldn't help support everyone, but sometimes one just has to jump on something when it comes along.
thanks for all the info and I look forward to exchanging info with you for years to come!!
