Frank, welcome to the pack. Glad to see you filled out your profile too. Tell us a bit about those 18 acres and what projects you've lined up for that shiny new machine.

Frank,
Let me echo the "welcome to the pack".
I can say that my CK30 has been one of the best investments I've made.
Post some pics of the new "toy" when she gets there.

Welcome Mountain Goat, hope you have many useful years with your 30.
I'm starting to get jealous of all you folks with the BH's.
We look forward to the pics and any info and knowledge you can share with us.

I'm with you on that Oleozz. Wish I could afford one to play with - anyone got one cheap ;)?

Just go dig a few stumps out by hand and you'll be amazed at what you'll be willing to pay for a BH. If you are still having trouble justifying it, ask your wife to help dig out the stumps.;)

Another point is that if you buy one for 5000-6000 then use it for a few years, you can easily sell it for 3000-4000 minimum. Real ownership costs in that model would be less than 2000 or so for a few years use which is not bad considering what you'd pay to have a BH/rental excavator on your property for a day.

Welcome to TBN and congrats on your new purchase.

Gotta feeling you may want to dust off your tools of trade, for new ideas will come as you get more and more seat time.

Mountain Goat, Welcome to the pack! You’re welding/fabrication skills are going to come in pretty handy once you look around the TBN site and see all the cool gadgets and gizmos that our fellow tractor enthusiasts have devised or built! We are looking forward to your pictures.

I hope you enjoy you new toy and welcome to the pack. I've had my CK30hst with fl and bh now for two years and it has been trouble free other than to minor warranty issues in the first few months.
The wife uses the loader for her wheelbarrow. Thus the main reason for the hst but after 175 hours, I don't think I would want to go back to a gear. I've done numerous jobs with the bh. I think you'll enjoy every minute. I even had a few people ask me to do work for them. It's hard to find the time but I have made a few bucks on the side.
Have fun and be safe.
