This 45 hp tractor is new to the market and is an economy compact tractor. It looks to me that the battery is located under the floor where a lot of other tractors have their gas tanks. I didn't see the battery under the hood. Looks like it would be hard to access for dead battery starting. (opinion?) The transmission has a high and low range, Any idea on how this would affect workability? Such as high range for transportation and low is for creeping? Or would they try to gauge an average speed for each gear? Hydro stat is available which might solve this question. Most of the tractors have 16 gears compared to this ones 8. Other than these two questions, I think it will be a great tractor for my use of clearing forests and farming. I have 10 tree strewn acres in east texas with a slight slope to my property. Dealer is 1/2 hr away but doesn't seem to knowledgeable about his wares. I will have a talk with his mechanics first. My other option is Mahindra, which is an hour away. Sales folks are nice but don't always follow up with my questions (I have been talking with them for over a year now). Looking at the 2640. So if anyone has experience with 8 gear trannys and poor battery placement, please chime in
