Tractor
YM1500D
Hi. I just found this discussion board. I am very excited about the information I have learned already. I am awaiting the delivery of my very first tractor, a YM1500D with FEL, box blade and PHD. I cannot wait until the time I can place my chopstick post hole digger in the shed for good.

Anyway, wanted to say hi and that I am already appreciative of the info and experience in this group.

Thanks

Welcome Mace,

You will like your tractor as it's a great model. Hope to see pictures of it. Where abouts are you located??

I am in a little town called Rush Valley. It is about 35 miles southwest of Salt Lake City.

I am very hopeful about my tractor (even though I haven't seen it yet). I bought it from a company called RCO Tractor in Texas. I couldn't find anything bad written about them on the internet. I hope I don't end up being one of the horror stories you guys seem to talk about a lot.

Glood to see you here. I think RCO sells V.N. rebuilds. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif Hopefully you'll get a good one.

Their website says reconditionedin the USA over and over....Do you think that is not entirely true?

I saw one reference to U.S. reconditioned. I'm not sure I'd buy one though.

They do have a "unique international partnership" and they do have access to "access to affordable labor".

It's your decision though. I'd run.

Mace,

I have to respect that you've committed to the purchase either by deposit or by your word. You should know that others have purchased reconditioned tractors and some are happy...and some are disappointed.

Not sure how extensive your warranty is, but I think I would operate your new tractor to it's limits everyday possible. Constantly testing the machine during that period, and if any failures occur discover how good the company is at providing the warranty coverage. Especially when your located in Utah and they're in Texas. Regardless of the outcome I hope your tractor works out well and I also hope you keep us posted with positive (or negative) experiences.

Good luck, Mark

Mace,

Good to have you here. I have the same model recon as you that I purchased last year and have ran about a hundred hard hours on it. Things have turned out O.K. so far, so I would judge it as a good purchase. When you get yours send me a PM and I will give you a list of things to check over on the new workhorse....

Thanks for the encouragement. I expect to recieve it in about two weeks. I already warned the wife that she might have to come find me after that. That is if I can get her off of it. She says that she's not interested, but you know how that goes.

I will definately keep eveyone posted and I will sure take advantage of your experience VT.

Thanks again

Mace
