Satoh Bull S-630
Hello. I am a new member, having inherited a Satoh Bull S-630, 12 speed tractor. I am having ongoing problems with the hydraulic fluid. It is stopping on the raising of the bucket. I could only find the bolt for completely draining the system. When I removed the bolt, the hydraulic fluid came out a tan color, like coffee with too much cream. Does anyone know where the fill level bolt is? Is it supposed to be cream color? Thanks, Chris

No, it isn't. That usually indicates water in the oil (which is what hydraulic fluid is). Here is what fluid looks kind of like with no water, fully emulsified oil/water, and partly emulsified.

Drain the whole system, fill it with fresh fluid (when you can find out how), run the hydraulics to warm the fluid and spread it around good and get the air out, drain the fluid and let it sit for a while and the water should settle to the bottom. Refill with the same fluid (without the water) and do the flush again. If you get no water, fill the system and see how it goes.

Nice looking little tractor though.

Thanks for the info. All helpful although the model in the vid clip is a different model. I do have the manual for mine. Nothing in it on the level. I started the draining. Still have to find the level bolt or gonna have to guess on the level by sight.

:welcome: Glad to see another Satoh owner. If you've got any pictures share, and let us see what you have to play with. What do you intend to do with your Satoh Bull?

I believe the level plug is on right side of transmission about half way up the housing.
