Mahindra 6000
Hi all. I've been reading your posts for awhile now and thought I'd join. Just got a new Mahindra 6000. Does anyone know how to check the transmission fluid? I'm not sure if the true level is with the dipstick screwed in or out. Also, I have a 6 ft. Rhine rotary cutter on it and when I check it in the morning the deck is on the ground, down from it's cutting position. Shouldn't the hydraulics hold it wherever I set it? Maybe I have a leakby condition internally? Any help would be appreciated and thanks.

JR,
Congrats on the new purchase. Welcome to TBN as well. The cutters weight will probably make a lot of lifts fall to the floor overnight. There could be some internal leakage, but I doubt if it sounds like any real issue.

You might ask that this be moved to the Mahindra forum in the "Other Major Manufacturers" section. You'll get better response there.

Trans dipstick does not "screw" in. It is at "1 o'clock to the PTO shaft in the back. Has a round finger hole with a big rubber 0-ring. All this is in the owners manual. Welcome! BobG in VA

If you have a back hoe it will take more. Dealer should make new mark on stick for you.
