New Member looking at a New Holland TC55DA.

I'm a New member and have looked at a 2005 New Holland TC55DA tractor which has 540 hours and a loader. The asking price is $19,900.00 and the tractor looks to be in good condition. There is rust on the loader arms which seems heavy in some areas. I drove the tractor and everything seemed to operate properly. Is the price fair for the condition I have described. I thought it was too high.

The reason I am looking at a 55hp tractor was for maintaining my 1/4 mile gravel road, snow plowing it as well and clearing and maintaining my wooded area. I was planning on getting a 72" rear blade for starters and then rent a Box Blade in the mean time for grooming my road. I will purchase a box blade later. Does it sound like I'm looking at too much Tractor. Any assistance would be helpful.

55hp is a good thing... I can't advise on the price though.

Seems to be in the ball park compared to some at tractor house. Is the rust on the loader where they barked the paint running into brush piles or is the paint peeling? If you ding the paint off it will rust and it needs to be repainted or at least oiled or greased.

The rusted areas appear heavy rust under the paint and is now poping out. Some are large areas. It looks like the loader arms were painted over steel scale and just continued to rust and Spaulding out. I am going to look at this closer before making a firm offer. I'm sure the spots could be spot sandblasted and primed and painted.
