Hi everyone! I just joined the forum and wanted to introduce myself. From SW Michigan, have my grandpa's Farmall C that he bought new...have the original receipt from the dealer and operators manual. I take care of my Mom's acreage with it now but I'm looking at buying a Mahindra 2555 in the future to take over for the C. The C has served well and it's time for a retirement party restoration! Looking forward to learning more about the Mahindra tractors from the folks here.

Welcome to TBN!

Going from a farmall C to a Mahindra 2555 is a HUGE leap! I've only put a few hours on the 255 I bought last Saturday, but man, they were productive hours! The 2555 is a real beast, so if you're looking for power, you will not be disappointed.

Keep us updated on your buying process!

If there is a good, well established dealer near by, a Mahindra will be a great machine for your needs.

Burnips Equipment is the local Mahindra dealer. They just opened a showroom in Three Rivers, about 20 miles from me and they have another dealership in Dorr, MI about 37 miles away. On a side note, the Kubota dealer is 3 miles from me.

I'm new to the site as well. I am going to buy the 2555 or the 2565 4WD with loader. I am very much looking to enjoy the site and all its wisdome.

Welcome! If the budget allows, the 2565 has a heftier front and rear axle and three-point area. It is just a bit stouter all the way around. That being said, we sell more 2555 than 2565 models perhaps due to price and the availability of the HST. It depends upon usage really.

I bought mine from Burnips in Three Rivers. They have been good to work with. I had a JD 790 prior to this and dealing with the local green dealer was sometimes frustrating. Walk in the showroom and salesmen ignore you kind of thing. Burnips is not like that. They also have a store in Coopersville. I've had my 1538 into the service department three times so far; once to do the 50 hr filter and oil change and install hyd remotes, once to install back hoe and the final to diagnose an engine fault light. They share some of the specific tools for certain tractors between the 3 locations but have a nightly shuttle between them to get parts / tools where they need to be. Since they are a newer store there is some lack of knowledge about some of the items, but they are willing to research and learn. I recommend them.

Welcome aboard to both of you. A good dealer will make a huge difference, check them out as well as if not better than the machine's.

Exact reason why I have chosen the 2565! I plan to take delivery of it next week. :cool2:
