Have a small (18 acre) farm in the BlueRidge Mts. of Virginia. Have owned various old, worn-out tractor's for half my life including a Fergueson(sp?) T0-30, several IH's and for the past 15 yrs. a 1958 Ford 851 diesel. Looking to purchase my first brand new tractor real soon. Will be either a Kabota Grand L 4060 or one of the "package deals" with a Kabota L 4600. Any input as to comparing these two tractors? Both are in the same price range but the package deal comes with rather light or medium duty cutter and box blade while the Grand L 4060 is priced with a Bush-hog brand cutter. Just want to make the right decision so there are no regrets later!

If you have the funds to buy a new tractor after experiencing lesser machines, I say splurge on the Grand L 4060.

With your tractor experience you will appreciate all the features and how productive it makes your time on the (cushy, swiveling) seat. (Yeah, yeah; I like the productivity angle!)

I ASPIRE to a 'Grand L' . One of these days, after I pay off the B3300SU, I am going to order a Grand L 4060 myself.

You deserve the 'Grand L', GO FOR IT.

The L4600 is a "economy" tractor and as such does not come with many of the mechanical features that are on the L4060. You could say that the Grand Ls are designed as true Ag tractors.
