Hi from Texas!
I've been reading these forums for quite some time and you folks are a wonderful source of information. My wife & I have a small hobby farm here in south central texas and we needed an inexpensive utility tractor for general purposes so we ended up with an old 800 Ford which we are very pleased with. Interestingly enough, I worked at a Ford tractor dealership as a mechanic in the mid 70's and I worked on a lot of 8Ns, 9Ns, 600's, and 800's. They were old tractors then, so when we considered purchasing a tractor recently, I was concerned about parts availability. Much to my surprise, there were new & used parts available everywhere, and they're cheap. I have some health issues, so our sons do most of the tractor work and they really enjoy themselves. Thanks for all the advice and sharing on this site. I'll share whatever I can as well.
