When I introduced myself earlier in the week I was asked to post some photos of my BX, so here they are:

I puchased it last year off of Craigslist. The previous owner was probably not the kindest owner so it took some work cleaning it up. It was filthy, had much of the sheet metal removed (but it came with it), the rear lights were removed or smashed, the head lights stay on all the time, the hood was/is dented, the bucket was crusted with a lot of cured cement, and mower deck needed new "wheels" and needed some minor welding.

I cleaned it, changed all the filters/fluids, and did some cosmetic repairs. A also added the work lights, tool box, and a used Bro-Tek skid plate. These were all ideas from this site.

I've put 100 hours on it mowing my grass (54" MMM), General Loader work (I build a toothbar and pallet forks), Rotary cutting (JD 413 RC), and snow plowing with a Kubota 60" plow.

Nice tractor. Did the ballast box come with it? I like it; may look into getting one.

Nice work. I see the Empire Tractor decals on it. You live in CNY? Alot of people on this forum do seem to be in that area. I believe NY is the biggest market for Kubota, or at least there sub-compacts.

congrats

The ballast box did come with it. It was a mess from the previous owner storing it outside with a load of sand in it. It was also dented pretty bad. I straightened it up (somewhat), clean it up, scraped much of the rust off it (I did not do a great job of rust removal) and painted it. I filled it with gravel which should drain well and put in some pipe to hold tools. It is pretty rough, but that is good enough for a ballast box.

nice unit, good pics, all you need now is to upgrade to the "new" seat like night and day difference... good luck

Yup, it was from Empire Tractor in Cortland, NY. I live in Watkins Glen on Seneca Lake.

Do you have any "before" pics? It'd be nice to see the transformation. Good job.
