"New" Massey 175 Hydraulic Operation

Hi, Just bought a nice 1964, MF175 and am having trouble with auxillary hydraulics. 3pt works great but when I hook up a cylinder to the remote it won't move it. I believe that the draft control must be in a certain location for it to work but no luck so far. The remotes are on the left rear and the operating lever is on the right near the draft control lever. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Hi Steve,

I experienced a similar problem when I first hooked up my snowblower. The chute is turned using the hydraulic remotes. The draft must be up, not quite in the constant pumping setting, but pretty close for the remotes to turn the chute. I have two remote operating levers on the right hand side, close to the draft control, so similar set-up to yours. I thought it was just a quirk of my 175, but give it a try, it might work for you.
The result is that I can't turn the snowblower chute "on the fly". I have to stop, lift it the snowblower off the ground with the draft control, turn the chute, then set the snowblower back down. I don't have any implements that use the remotes other than the snowblower.
