Yep. I have one, and there's no dpf, no regen, no nuthin'. Mahindra chose to invest in completely redesigning an engine that could meet Tier IV standards without DPF or regen. I kind of liked that, although many folks say it's no big deal.

New tractors with no DPF or DEF setup FTW!

Massey Ferguson is the same on their 75 HP and under tractors. They use a DOC(instead of a DPF) and a EGR valve setup to help achieve Tier4.

When I was tractor shopping this past winter I found there were several brands that were able to meet Tier IV requirements without needing a DPF. Mahindra was one, New Holland was another. I really liked the New Holland T4.75 for several reasons, one being no DPF, and was all set to order one if the dealer and I could agree on a price. But then a Kubota M7060HDC12 with only 170 hours on it came up for sale locally. Price was thousands less than a new T4.75 so I bought the Kubota. It does have a DPF but that's turned out to be a non-issue. Light comes on in the dash telling me it's going through a regeneration cycle and after 15-20 minutes goes out. No difference in the way the tractor operates during the regeneration process.

Like others have stated they went with a DOC and aggressive EGR to accomplish this. Other brands went this route also. No tractor under 75 hp uses or needs DEF, no matter the system used.
