Got a brand new M5140 a couple months ago. Drove about 500 miles to avoid getting the latest model with tier IV emissions. Its got the Hydraulic shuttle, 4x4, loader, and the bigger 16.9 R1 tires in the back.
Also bought a new Woods RD990X mower to cut my 10 acre yard (had to sell a scag 72" diesel ztr to justify the tractor purchase). I mow every week and remove the loader every time. It ain't that bad. I can do it in minutes. The hydraulic shuttle is jerky when trying to go back and forth with the PTO revved up to 540. Other than mowing the hyd shuttle is awesome.
Pretty pleased with the hydraulics as far as loader work. However I tried to lift a 4runner with my pallet forks (no motor or trans) and it just wouldn't do it. I estimate about 3000 lbs. Pretty sure I'd like to see about turning up the hydraulic relief a little.
Not crazy about the vulnerability of the plastic fuel tank (and other cables/controls underneath the tractor). And the plastic toolbox is a joke. I plan on building a steel toolbox on the right side of the tractor and possibly a skid plate to protect some of the stuff underneath. Other than that I think the tractor is great. Very pleased.
I am almost finished selling all my 5' implements and am currently shopping for a root grapple and 6' heavy duty rotary cutter. Possibly a Woods BB720.
