Just completed restoring a old cast iron bath tub I pulled from a brush pile in NW Arkansas. Tub was missing the claw feet. The finish was bad as seen in this picture, but other wise in good condition. Picture was taken just after I started sand blasting.

Here is the tubs final resting place. Used an epoxy tub refinishing kit from Home Depot. Kit had 1 quart of paint when mixed which I was able to get 4 coats on the tub. Before completing tub, I had used 3 quarts for a total of 12 coats with light sanding between each to get the finish I was looking for.

Looks great. Did you put it in the house, the basement or the garage? G

Thanks GerardC! It was placed in our master bath. We had left the spot open when we built the house using only the stand alone shower. The plans called for a garden tub, but we wanted something a little different. With this we got "different" and a lot more cost effective.

Here is another picture that shows the faucet a little better. I still need to shorten the drain stopper chain.

Wow, that's impressive! At first I thought you were going to show us a new planter in your front yard /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Nice job!
I was hoping this wasn't leading to it standing on end in the front yard with a pale blue interior... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
