New lawn weed id

Ok so I installed a new 15k sqft lawn and have this one persistant weed that I can't seem to id. Any ideas?

It looks familiar. If it's the weed I am thinking of, it gets tall and big. I don't think it will stand up to regular mowing if it's that one. Might just gradually go away on it's own.

It does get tall and looks to have a small purple flower. It's seems resislent to mowing and grows right back.

I think it could be a variety of 'smartweed'.

Purslane is heavy in my garden this year. Every year has it's weed.

Try the Asiatic Dayflower. Pretty common in our parts and should pull out easy.... Asiatic Dayflower (Commelina communis) . My experience is that it inhabits disturbed areas pretty quickly......Gary
