Greetings All,

I need to ask other L3200 L38oo owners is they feel their tractor lugs at low RPM.

I sold my 7510 and bought a new L3200. The 3200 seems to lug down at 1500-1900 RPM at full forward pedal. If I let off and milk the pedal it seems like the 7510.

1. What RPM are you using? ( I alwayys seem to be 1500- 2000) unless loader is full or working hard.

2. The parking brake is not on. It screams louder with it on. I know :(

3. The HST whine on this is louder than my 7510.

I love the tractor but am concerned that it is so heavy that the 32HP is having a hard time making it move in L M or high unless I have PTO Rpm's screaming

Thoughts ? or Feedback ?

Cheers,

RD

Look at the power and torque curves of the engine. My bet is that it doesn't produce much power and torque at 1500 rpm. My tractor has Kubota 1505 and I run it at over 2000 even if moderately loaded. 1800 rpm just to move it slowly around without a load. When doing hard work I run it at 2500 and up.

I have the older model the L3400HST. But a couple of things, High is road gear only, and flat roads at that. M can be used for working/transporting as long as the ground is not too hilly, Then its L only for everything. I live in pretty hilly ground, so its L 90% of the time. M about the other 10 for transporting and moving some loads but not up hill very well. As for the whine, it gets better with age:) It actually seems to me it is not as loud now (well over 100 hours) as it was at first. I dont have a db measurement to back that up, but that is what I think. I often run about 1500 or so or even less sometimes if the work is light. I have never thought it lacked for power but you do have a few less ponies than I do. and the base tractor would weigh about the same. Now I have a 750lb ballast barrel on the back at all times I am not mowing. I also have over 350lbs total in liquid ballast in the tires. If I am pushing into a pile or dirt or rock, I am going to run up the throttle to at least 2000 and I am almost always going to be in L. even with all this ballast if I push into the pile I can still spin all the tires if I want. You might check and see how yours does when pushing against a pile of gravel or dirt that you cannot push thru, see if the tires spin or the hydro stalls.

I had a L3130 with the same engine and HP as yours, it would be a little heavier than yours but it was a real dog. So by what you describe your is doing what I would expect it to do. 32hp with the weight yours will be with the loader will be somewhat underpowered for high speed travel. I had to run over 2000 rpm to do most anything.:)
