I am curious if the Deere advertisement here on TBN is showing us the new 300 series L & G Tractors. The grill seems to be of no current model. Also I dont think the hydraulic levers are yellow on current 300 series If I am wrong I am sure the deere faithful will tell it how it is. The 2210 replacement is out, anybody have news about the L & G lineup?

That yellow handled lever is the mechanical PTO engagement on the smaller LT series lawn tractors. That head on shot looks exactly like my LT155 except mine has the old logo. Time to trade up to a newer model I guess.

TimberXX,
Historically as far back as I go with JD (born in the early 50s into a JD & IH family), the yellow levers have always been for the PTO, the black levers have been for the various hydraulics, differentiated by different shapes, and the red knobs have to do with engine speed and the various range and gear shift levers, also differentiated by different shapes.

Usually Deere holds a dealer meeting for L&G equipment in November, in Florida. I would imagine they will roll out the new lawn and garden tractors then. It sounds like everything under the X-Series will be different. In addition, I believe that is when the 2000 Twenty series are going to be announced to the dealers. Someone on here mentioned going to 2000 Twenty series training around that time. I would also anticipate an announcement about the 3000/4000 twenty series Cab option. Can any of the dealers comment on that? I haven't worked for the Deere dealer in 4 years now, so I'm out of the loop on whats going on behind the scenes.

I talked to the L&G salesmen where I used to work, and he confirmed the changes to the lineup. He said the line will be completely different for all models, including the X-Series. He and both found it hard to believe, but his Deere rep is telling him not to carry too much inventory. Even the attachements will be different in one way or another. Latest word he has is March 2006 availability. The dealer intro is during October, so some details should begin to surface then. Dutch, or any other dealer people out there, what have you been hearing? Sounds like major changes, with styling similar to the new 8030 series farm tractors.

Agreed about all new models coming, but I was under the impression it was stuff below the X-series...
from the L series up thru the GX series...
maybe like Cub 1000, 2000, etc..
It would be nice to get an easier model lineup, it's hard to
have L130, and LT150 and LX280,,, confused people I think,,
We'll find out soon enough. They did release some notes stating these would be available next spring, but........all depends on inventory levels at the factory.

I originally heard the same thing. The last trip in he indicated that the X-Series was included too. Maybe it will only be a re-style/re-nomenclature to match the others. I can't imagine them changing the X-Series attachments, especially since they are compatible with the new 2305 and soon to come out 2000 twenty series. I can see them changing the other attachments, those basic designs have been out since the original 240/260/265. The only thing I've heard consistently is that the LT and LX series will merge into one line-up, and that the intro is slated for October to the dealers. You plan on going and then sharing with us what you learn, right? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
