Tractor only has 27.6 hours on it. Have had starter problmes several times in the past 6 weeks. Turn the key, wait, turn to start position and hear a "click". But starter won't engage. Repaeast several times and it will start. This morning I hook up to a 6000# + blat and pull it out from under the barn and pull it up behind the back door. I'm in a straight line on a 15+ degree grade in the back yard with 6000#'s hooked to me. Park, engage the parking brake, lower the bucket and raise the lift as hig as it will go and shut her down. Wash the boat and get back on the tractor. NOTHING. Key functions like it should. Safety button on clutch is in good condition and wires are tight. All fuses I can locate are good. I can get a Click at the starter, but it won't engage.
I blocked the tires on the boat and lowered the tongue down on the tongue jack. Backed my truck up as close as I could and hooked a short chain to the tongue to get it away from the tractor. Got that done and the boat back under the barn.
Now, I've got a dead tractor sitting in the yard with the bucket on the ground.
I've got a trailer to haul it on, but have no way on getting it on the trailer. Should I call the dealer and insist they come pick it up?
