After shopping many of the brands-JD, Kubota, Case NH, and Bobcat and then Kioti I ended up buying a CK20HST from Michigan Iron in Morrice, MI. I hadn't been in much of a rush to buy until an unbelievable sequence of failed lawn equipment sped up that process!!! Bob is very friendly and well versed in the Kioti line and I would highly recommend purchasing from this dealership!

I opted for the free FEL, and also got the mid-PTO and 60" belly mower. I'm setup for the R4 tires right now but still considering turfs as mowing will be where I spend the most of my seat time. I'm getting it on Wednesday and can't wait!:D

Are there any break-in procedures I should know about? Is the owners manual available online?

Thanks,

-Josh

Congrats and welcome to the pack.
Be sure to let the motor and fluids warm up prior to using, 5 minutes or so should be more than enough.
Be sure to do the 50 hour service at 50 hours, change all hydraulic fluid and all filters, motor oil and filter also.

The hydraulic do a lot of wear in up front and that first service is important.

Grease regularly.

Nice thing about these diesel tractors, they run a long time and are relatively easy to maintain.

Good luck,
Joel

Congratulations and welcome Josh!!

The best advice I can give you about tips is to do searches here on TBN. This place is an amazing archive of experience.

You will love your new Kioti.

Congrats Josh! I also purchased my Kioti (DK45SE HST w/FEL) from Michigan Iron this year. Bob and Denise are very knowledgeable and great people to work with.

I have not done much posting here on TBN but have monitored it for quite some time and it is a great place to get info and ideas.

Michigan Iron is a fantastic dealership. Bob and Denise delivered a CK20 HST to me also. You made an excellent choice when you selected that CK20. I have nearly 350 hours on mine and it has served me very well

Thanks for all the kind words, everyone.

I can't wait to get it on Wednesday! It has been a long couple of days.

Strange though, that the owners manual to my mid 80s Simplicity garden tractor is available online but not the '09 Kioti?! I was hoping to get a head start on reading.

I'll post pics once it's at its new home!

Welcome.
I would suggest you buy in addition to getting the owner's manual, the workshop manual for your model/year. It is around $80 or so and has everything you might want to know about your machine.
Get a good quality grease gun with a flexible 12-18" hose to get all the numerous zerk fittings, and grease all before using it, or at the very least make sure each fitting has already been greased- it is cheap preventive maintenance and a good habit to form at the beginning.
On a side note, I just installed my MIE backhoe thumb on my DK35se/hst and its first load was a 14' x 14" birch tree stalk! ::D Great add on, mfg. by MIE, semi-custom to fit my bh.
Enjoy your new machine.

Congrats. Nice machine. Be safe. On breakin, vary the RPMs during use. Don't just use at one RPM setting.
