New Holland Workmaster 70 Problem

Purchased a New, New Holland Workmaster 70 Tractor from my long time dealer in July 2020. The tractor had 60 hours on it when purchased. After about 2 hours of operation the tractor engines RPM decreased, became very hot and operation was very lethargic. The tractor appeared as though the brakes were dragging as the tractor coasted little if any when the clutch was depressed. Mentioned this to dealer which said it must of had a "hard regen". The regen light has never come on, and this issue has repeated 4 times. After a short period of time the tractor appears to operate normally. I now have 84 hours on the tractor and it happened again yesterday afternoon. Called the dealer and he advised to bring it in so they can check it out. He said that is not how the tractor is to perform when doing regeneration. So we will see what the come up with. The regen light has never come on! Wondering if any 50-60-70 series owners have experienced the same issue. Thanks

Not exactly, but I did have a re-gen problem on my Workmaster 60 last week. At 60ish hours the re-gen light in dash lit up along with the orange exclamation mark lite. The operators manual says do a Manual Re-gen. It wouldn't. I carried it in to my dealer and low and behold, according to the dealer, some idiot had plugged in the two sensors on the DPF backwards. They had me fixed and back on the road home in an hour. That's all I got.

That痴 very interesting. I got my tractor back last Friday dealer installed a software update which seems to have worked. Thanks for your information!

So far, my WM60 has been great since I got it home. Put my stump grinder on it and worked it purty good Sunday morning for about 4 hours at PTO rpm with no problems. These tractors cant be idled around like an old 8n. You gotta keep the fire lit and work it at a higher rpm for all the auto-re-gen to function properly. I hope Im thru takin it in. Conroy Tractor in Mt Pleasant Texas are some fine folks and really came thru for me.

Found the left brake was adjusted about 1 1/2" to tight which got tighter as the tractor got hotter. Backed off the brake adjustment which solved the problem!
