- New Holland TS6.140
Looking for another opinion before i split this tractor. It is a New Holland TS6.140 2012 model with the 6.7FPT and the dual power transmission. Has 4800 hours on it. I bought the tractor with this issue. Tractor fires right up but you can not engage any gear. With the clutch pressed in the trans will not go into first gear. Its like the clutch is not disengaging. I hooked up the gauges to the shuttle valve. Im getting 200 psi on both reverse and forward circuits. The main low pressure line to the pto is the same. Funny thing it does is that while operating the shuttle to the forward position the pressure goes up to normal with no change in engine load when I put it in the reverse position the pressure goes up to normal and the engine loads even though the trans is in neutral. Also the pto will not stop.
My theory is I have a warped plate in the forward clutch pack. And this is not letting the input rotation stop therefore it wont go into gear. And also why when I put it in reverse it is causing it to load the engine because both the forward clutch, with the presumed bad plate, and the reverse clutch pack are turning simultaneously.
Any input welcomed Thank you
