New Holland Tractors?

Hi all,

Just a curiosity question. In these forums, I see a whole lot of people talking about Kubota and John Deere, a few less, but still a good many, asking about Mahindra and Massey, and then the brand specific forums of LS, Kioti, and Branson/TYM, stay pretty busy. But, I've noticed the lack of inquiries on new, New Holland purchases. I've seen a few people looking at older New Holland's, but I was curious if something has happened in recent years where people aren't going with them anymore? Is this because in the compact range, like mostly discussed here, LS makes the New Holland tractors so people are just buying LS? I have a couple New Holland dealers near me, but they seem to deal mostly in the ag department. Just curious!

As far as my case goes, there are only 4 dealers in my local (50 miles) area. JD, Kub, NH, and Mah. The K and JD dealers are arrogant and won't even give you the time of day. Both have pricing 10% above the online prices and won't budge. The Mahindra dealer is capitalizing on the others and is also charging higher prices. The NH dealer is the furthest away at 65 miles. I called there to get a price on a Workmaster 25 TLB. Their bottom price was $6,000 higher than the price I got on an LS XG3025 TLB. I ended up getting an LS from a dealer 600 miles away, added a PHD, a 60" heavy box blade (485 lbs), 2 rear remotes, and delivery for just under $1500 more (still saving $4500 over the NH). That's why I don't have a NH.

Sounds about right. I got a quote from one close by dealer for around $25k for a workmaster 35 and loader. Got a quote for an LS XG3035 with loader, bush hog, box blade, and trailer for $26k. I wound up buying an LS G3038 that was pre tier 4 emission stuff with a 5ft bush hog and loader for $12.5k. With only 143 hours, I thought I got a steal.
