I recently purchased a 2001 TC45 with 950 hours. It was in need of some Basic repair. The tilt steering would not work but fixed with a new gas shock. The other two issues were the hydro wants to creep in the forward position and the platform was in need of replacement. The tractor ran fine and always started up easily. I found a used platform and ordered it yesterday. I removed the platform yesterday (what a job!) thinking I would replace the platform and fix the hydro creeping at the same time. I have already tried adjusting the spring, cleaning the B plate, greased everything and nothing had worked, actually made it worse.
All the welds are ok on the plate and mechanically everything looks like it should. How else can the hydro be adjusted?
Second question is that after removing the platform I wanted to start the tractor so I could test the hydro adjustments. I plugged the safety switches back in and the tractor turns over but will not fire at all. The pto, neutral, and seat switch (jumpered) all seem to be ok or it would not turn over?? Am I missing another safety switch? I know there is a brake switch sensor but I don't think it's part of the starting circuit. There are 2 two wire sensors that came lose but I reconnected. Looked like polarity was irrelevant?
Thanks for any assistance anyone can offer.

Ok, after evening in my shop I think I have the answers to my questions. Just posting the results so the next person might bypass some of the time consuming process of figuring similar issues out. First, the problem with the engine turning over but not firing was a problem with the seat bypass jumper. Evidently it was not seated firmly against the metal pins. I was puzzled as I thought it would not even turn over if this switch was not bypassed.
The second part took longer to figure out but by removing the platform last night and looking at the system in daylight today, things started making sense. The roller that runs the "B" plate was out of adjustment. There is a cam and a bolt inside of it that you loosen and you can turn the cam to line up the roller in the neutral position. The bolt was also bent but I was able to fix it in the vice. Once the bolt was straight and I centered the roller on the B plate, I adjusted the spring and boom, good as new. Now all I have to do is put everything back together!! Here are a couple of pictures of the cam I am referencing. File_000.jpegFile_001.jpeg
