I've got some issues with my new to me 2006 or 2007 New Holland TC40 DA that I could use some help with.

First, neither the blinkers or hazard flashers work. I found the control module with the help of Messick's parts diagram but is this a dealer only part or could I get it cross referenced and replaced less expensively?

Next, the hi/low (Rabbit/Turtle) travel button isn't working. The switch on the fender does light up and change when I switch it back and forth but there is no difference in travel speed. The switch on the joystick is intermittent in changing the light on the fender. It almost always works going to Rabbit but is hit and miss on going to Turtle. I know there have been some posts about this and I've read to check the switches, relay etc but other than the switches, I'm not clear on where the rest of the parts are located. I just ordered the Factory Service Manuals on CD off eBay but I'm hoping to get some help before they arrive.

Lastly, the operator presence switch for the PTO is not functioning at all. I'm guessing just a switch but haven't dug into that yet, I assume it's a normally open switch? I'm not really sure where it's located, I guess under the seat somewhere, anyway if anyone has any hints on troubleshooting that, I would appreciate it.

OK, I figured out 2 and 3, the little wire under the left fender was disconnected. Hooked that back up and the rabbit/turtle function works correctly. Also, the previous owner removed the seat safety switch so I just need to put in a new one. I realize that thing can be a hassle but since this tractor has cruise control and I plan to use that feature when brush hogging, I think I'll go ahead and replace it so I don't end up under the brush hog one day...

Glad you fixed those issues. I have a 2005 TC40DA and it is a great tractor. There is a great deal of information on how to fix this tractor, thanks to the late Jim Inman (jinman). He had a way of gently guiding you to the fix and no matter how frustrating you might be, he would get you to the solution. Luckily for us his posts are available through the search function.
