OK, new member, glad to be here. I have just picked up a 2000 New Holland TC29 Tractor with loader, about 900 hours. Been sitting up a bit from what I can tell. Yesterday, was running it to get bugs worked out, and developed a problem. As I was pulling in my driveway, it appears the Fuel Shutoff Solenoid failed and cut my fuel flow, and tractor shut down. Fuel will not pump after numerous attempts to re-prime...
Recommendation was to remove fuel solenoid. Now here is the problem- once i was able to reach the solenoid in the attached picture with Channel Lock Pliers, the body of the solenoid broke loose and started to spin. But it would not unscrew from the pump housing. It is stuck in there.
Anyone know any trick to get this off? Tractor is dead in the driveway, and would be helpful to start it again...
Many Thanks!
