Hello I am a new member and have a problem with the electric 2 speed. It keeps blowing the fuse. When the fuse blows I only have 1st and 3rd range. 2nd range is what I use the most. I have traced the wiring twice now and can't find a short in the wire. Has anybody had this problem and found a fix for this? Thank for any help with this. Dirtmann

Is the actual range shifting mechanism jammed or in some way drawing too much amperage when you try to use it?

When I put in a new fuse it works for a while then the fuse blows. it seems that it works until it gets warmed up. Although yesterday I was going to drive down the road (already warmed up) so I put in a fuse and headed down the road in 4th range. It worked fine for about 1/2 mi. The fuse blew an I am in 3rd range. it seemed I hit a bump when the fuse blew. So this would make me think there is a short in the wiring somewhere. I haven't checked wire from fuse block to switch. I guess that will have to be my next check.
