Hi I have an issue where the PTO wouldn't stop and every time i engage it with the lever the transmission clutch would disengage.
I split the tractor and found the 2 release bearing holders were stuck together like ugly on a toad.I took it all apart and pressed the bearing holders apart.then i cleaned all the pieces,so that they slide easily and independently.I checked the pto clutch and it spins freely.i noticed when doing the bell housing bolts back up,that the pto shaft doesn't spin freely .i loosened the bolts on the bell housing so that i had a split of less than 1/16 in and the pto shaft spins fine.now i have reassebled the pto and it will not stop.I put it on a dyno and it takes 5 horsepower to make it stop at idle.I held it stopped for a while but it did not improve.Anyone have any Ideas of what is wrong here?

There’s an imperfections on the PTO clutch disc splines or PTO input shaft splines. The disc is not sliding freely on the shaft.
