Help! New to this forum, so if this has been covered before I apologize.
Father-in-law's New Holland 1715 bucket will not uncurl. I unhooked both lines from the Kayaba valve and operated the joystick. Pulling left (curl), fluid comes out of the front port. Pushing right (uncurl), fluid comes out of BOTH ports. I removed the valve, disassembled it (check valve and spring are good, spool is not scored anywhere), reassembled and installed only to have the same problem. Loader arms work fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

May be as simple as a coupler that was not fully seated. Reason for oil flow out of both ports on dump is regeneration for faster dump.

I really do not know but...

If both hoses are disconnected and to curl fluid comes out of one and not the other, and to uncurl it comes out both, I think it is a regeneration circuit. Push harder than normal to the right, does it hit a detent them work but slower?

Also do you have enough RPMS going? Rev it up and try it.

ALSO, is it plain and simple the hoses that is, is it possble the hoses got connected switched? Regen only works one way, it may be hosed backwards.

Again I am guessing here.

O.K. maybe a little more background is in order. Father-in-law was pushing large (too large) logs with his forks in the fully uncurled position (don't ask). In the process he blew one on the solid lines from the valve to the quick connects (curl side). He replaced the solid line, put the bucket on the fel, and continued using the tractor to haul dirt. After 5 or 6 trips the bucket suddenly stopped uncurling. It will move slightly and then stop. I believe the cylinders are deadheading. I switched the hoses at the quick connects and then the bucket would uncurl but not curl. If I shut the engine off and unhook the quick connects, I have to crack one of the connections on the bucket to relieve pressure (again on the curl side) before I reconnect them. I am not familiar with the differences between a regenerative and non-regenerative valve. I did notice a flow restrictor on the curl side of the valve. I assume this is to slow the movement of the bucket when uncurling.

Had a friend that did the same thing. It was just a coupler that wasn't seated good. Check all the couplers. It only takes one to make this happen.

It could also be a bad/damaged coupler. They don't give trouble often but can go bad.

Is the loader plumbed into a remote? If so, is the lever in the right position? Are those quick couplers connected good n tight?
