I am looking at a 3930 among other tractors. I do not have a lot of experience picking out used tractors. The independent PTO clutch was just changed out and tractor has 1700hrs on it. Tractor appears in pretty good shape; doesn't smoke tires "ok". I did see a some oil aft of the the oil pan which could be a main seal? Anyhow dealer said they would take care of it if I buy it. I believe it was used in a hay operation. Is this a decent deal? Anything I should look out for? My other option I am looking hard at is a new JD 5103 at 14K. Thanks.

Do you know the year? Locally, in my part of VA, 3910's sell in that range. I think I'd go with the 5103 for the warranty. Sounds a bit low for a 3930.

I paid $11500 for a 1997 NH 3930 two years ago. The tractor has 4WD, shuttle shift and canopy. I bought it with 750 hours showing on the hourmeter. It is a good strong tractor that I use bushhogging on hilly ground in Tennessee. I have replaced one front axle seal.
