New to this board and forum. I should let all know that I am not a mechanic, but have been able to handle most repairs on this and my other equipment for the last 25 years. I am hoping someone can give me some advice on the hydraulic system on this tractor.. I have a New Holland TN70A tractor with a NH 32 LC loader attached. I have recently started having problems with hydraulic leaks at the Mid Mount Float Valve.
Additional info that might be important: I "lent" my tractor to a neighbor for an extended time and I know that it at least one hose (maybe more). I notice that when making a left turn, the hoses hit on the right tire. I am now thinking that the replacement hoses were made too long. I guess it is possible, that with the way the hoses hit on the tires, that the couplers are "taking a beating" so to speak. Does this sound plausible? Or would some of you with more experienced in hydraulic systems suspect other items to check?
I have considered replacing all couplers and hoses with I know are the proper length. They are mounted under the driver's platform.
I am attaching a picture of the valve. Only one of the four hoses are attached in the picture, but leaks had developed on the two lines on the right side of the valve. I replaced the seal on the upper right coupler and replace the coupler and seal on the lower right coupler (absent in this picture). Everything was fine for about four months, when the same two valves developed leaks again. I replaced the seals (the seals where the valves contact the valve block) again, and within 6 hours of run time both seals were leaking badly again.
The system seems to be getting much warmer than it used to, and I should mention that the remote stack on the rear of the tractor has also recently developed a leak. I have two sets of remotes. The leak appears to be coming from in between the two remote "blocks".
Anyone know where I might find a copy of a shop manual for the TN70A without breaking my budget?
